My Name Necklace

Growing up on the golden mile in Leicester I was surrounded by Indian gold shops and during the 90's all the girls at school had necklaces with their names beautifully scribed in italics into 22ct gold chains.  I of course never owned one, coming from a working class family, fashion was not a priority.  I was lucky to get a hold of a sample from the factory my mum worked in when they completed an order for TopShop or River Island and that was the closest I ever got to being on trend.

So when I discovered on Etsy that I could have my name scribed into Sterling Silver in Gurmukhi, I added that bad boy to my wishlist! There's something quite mysteriously unique about having something so obvious on display when it'll make sense to only the very few.
